"65% of young men report that 'no one really knows me,' with nearly half saying their online lives feel more interesting than their offline ones (Equimundo). The discussion around college men is still surrounded by critical questions: What do these realities mean for college professionals committed to creating safer and more connected campus communities? How can we build spaces where men feel seen and connected in ways that reduce isolation and risk? How do we design opportunities that move men from passive participants to active partners in preventing violence? How can we engage men’s voices and leadership to create campus cultures rooted in care, respect, and accountability? To help answer these questions, the Coalition on Men & Masculinities will be collaborating with Futures Without Violence’s CATAPULT: Campus Action team to share with participants on how to better engage with college men. Utilizing current data as a foreshadow, this 90-minute interactive workshop will offer concrete strategies for professionals seeking to engage men as allies in violence prevention and creating healthier campus communities. Please join us on October 23rd at 3:30 - 5PM ET for this great workshop. This workshop is open to all ACPA and non-ACPA members.
